If you're just duplicating the front stereo to the rear, it's stereo, not 5.1, it's just two sets of stereo, and doesn't require any more information. Just change the speaker mode on your receiver.Īlso, if your "5.1" is the same sound in all speakers, it's mono, not 5.1, it's just mono coming from several speakers. If you're doing it from a 2.0 source converting to 5.1 doesn't make any sense. It sounds so weak having 2 or 3 speakers do nothing in a surround sound setup.Īre you pirating a DVD or making one from a home video?
